With much excitement I post this image of an African Skimmer "skimming" at Ngamo pan in Hwange on the 9th. I could not believe my eyes when we pulled up to the small pumped pan and saw an "Endangered" bird that is only really supposed to be seen on large river systems doing his thing at ngamo. I have said it before and I will say it again.....Ngamo rules!
I will be logging the record shortly with the SABAP2 project and have emailed some experts to see if it is a First for Hwange. I will update you in due course.
