Then there were two!

For those following this blog you will remember that i posted a short one about seeing the Common Myna in Hwange. Well that sighting has caused quite a stir here in the birding world as it represents quite a scary prospect in a protected area. I returned there yesterday and photographed the pair this time.
If an "Alien Invasion" means more to you than perhaps the prospect of being caught and probed by little green men then you will have been asking the same questions that i have.
Like; where have these birds come from?
Are they a pair that have settled here and the rest flew on or was there one here and a second has found him? If so what are the chances in an area the size of Wales that two birds meet?
Although these are the only ones photographed in Hwange, there must be more and that is very worrying for the indigenous species.
The Common Myna aggressively takes breeding sites from other birds such as parrots, starlings and such and this all begs the question.....If this pair are shot, will that be enough or
ARE THEY ALREADY HERE?
