Today I finally managed a photo of a Kurrichane Buttonquail Turnix Sylvaticus after years of trying but failing to even get near one. This individual thought to sit still and rely on its cryptic colouring to avoid being seen but fortunately for me I had seen it land in the grass and had my 300ml lens ready.
